Artist Statement:
My practice involves research around archaeology, anthropology, and cultural artefacts. The intention is sometimes to create objects that feel unearthed as much as created.
This interest in historic and geological referencing allows explorations and the reimagining of forms that echo ancient deities, talismanic relics, devotional objects and sacred statues.
Through this process I create pieces that carry both ambiguity and presence, objects that resist easy definition but resonate with memory and recognition.
