Bronze

This new body of sculpture has naturally evolved as a result of research on devotional and cultural objects from the Bronze age. The original sculptures had first been conceived and carved in stone before being cast into bronze.

The intention is to explore a variety of pure simplistic forms derived from imagined histories and mythology with reference to real geological and cultural landscapes. Blurring the boundaries between sky, land and sea, the sculptures act as both artefacts and echoes of an ancient way of life, conflating deep time geology and speculative archaeology into objects that feel simultaneously unearthed and newly made.
